Recently, Professor Cheng Zhukuan's team published a paper entitled "Chromosome ends initiate homologous chromosome pairing during rice meiosis" in the journal of Plant Physiology. Using rice anther as material, the cytological mechanism of homologous chromosome pairing during meiosis was elucidated.
